A Busy Spring and Summer at the Guildford Aquatics Centre

It’s a been busy Spring and Summer at the Guildford Aquatics Addition site. Some major milestones that have been accomplished has been the completion of the structural roof wood trusses, the enclosure of the building, and the precast concrete panels for the outside of the pool. Bing Thom to deliver Margolese Toronto Lecture

All are welcome to attend a special presentation of the UBC Margolese National Design for Living Prize Lecture in Toronto which will feature a keynote by 2013 winner, Bing Thom. The award recognizes a Canadian citizen who has made outstanding contributions to the development or improvement of living environments for Canadians of all economic classes.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 6:30pm at the Design Exchange in Toronto. A reception will follow at 7:30pm. The Design Exchange is located at 234 Bay Street in Toronto.

The 2013 Margolese National Design for Living Prize goes to Bing Thom

Congratulations Bing! Today UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture awarded Bing Thom the 2013 Margolese National Design for Living Prize. This is an annual prize given to a Canadian who has made and continues to make outstanding contributions to the development or improvement of living environments for Canadians of all economic classes.
